IS FEAR GETTING IN YOUR WAY?
When facing fear, you have a few options, yet for the sake of this article I will only be using two different perspectives, whereas there are many that can plug the acronym.
F.E.A.R = Face Everything And Run
F.E.A.R = Face Everything And Rise.
It is all in how you perceive fear and its purpose. You can view it as something which holds you back from growing into your highest self or you can take it as an opportunity to grow in your power in the present moment depending on how you choose to deal with what is bringing on the fear you are facing.
Example: You have a new job interview and fear that you will screw it up and not get the position you so desperately want.
You have two options. First, You can run away and never know if you were good enough for the job and be left questioning. Or you can rise in the event of the fear trying to hold you back, know that you cannot fail, have faith in yourself and move forward to be the best you can at the interview.
If you do happen to move forward and you happen not to get the job, instead of a reaction like I knew it” try something like “ This door was not open for me because God has another one open for me.” Then think of other options which may be better for you that you may not have considered before.

Another Meaning For Fear
Fear also has a meaning of F.E.A.R = False Evidence Appearing Real. In this case once you find yourself feeling scared or getting in a rut of fear about an issue, ask yourself:
1. How is this situation pushing me to grow?
2. How can I put my best foot forward in this situation?
3. What would I feel best doing in this situation (keep it real with yourself)
By breaking down your options and pondering on the right questions, you have the ability to look fear in the face and make is disappear.
Fear stems from the mind. Fear of loss, fear or pain, fear of embarrassment etc… once you are aware of the power you have within, fear cannot hold you back from anything in life that you truly desire.
The Root Of Fear
It is your thought patterns which bring on fear. You can however choose to turn fear into strength to move forward. You begin to do this by thinking empowering thoughts, such as the one in the example above.
Before the interview, as fear starts to kick in you can ask yourself the three power questions above and once you have answered those you will know the best next step for yourself through clarity of what can be true for you.
And after the interview, if you did not get the position, instead of seeing the missed job opportunity as a reason to beat yourself up over, you can empower yourself by thinking in a way that will benefit and help you grow.
Such as again with the example above, instead of seeing the missed job opportunity as a letdown, you have the choice to see it as a new opportunity opening somewhere else and not see a loss or failure at all, but at a new chance at something better aligned for you.
The key is how you are perceiving the situation at hand. Are you letting fearful thoughts creep in and run your mind? Or are you empowering yourself with positive thoughts that will help you rise above the fear and be a stronger more resilient individual.
In the face of fear you have the chance to live up to the highest vision you hold of yourself. You have the choice to give into the fear making you feel weak and vulnerable or you can face the fear and come out on top. Choice is always yours.
